EquiMed is
primarily an equine ambulatory practice located in North Kansas City,
Missouri. While most of our patients reside in Clay and Platte counties
in Missouri, and in Leavenworth County, Kansas, we also provide services
to clients outside of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.
EquiMed has a
single goal - to provide the most up-to-date,
comprehensive and
compassionate
treatment for our equine patients. Our
highly trained staff uses the latest
techniques
and equipment to ensure every patient
receives
the highest quality care for
routine
examinations, major
emergencies
and everything in between. EquiMed has all you need to nurture your
equine companion.
Appointments are available between 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday and
8am to 1pm on Saturdays. Emergency coverage is available 24 hours per
day, 7 days a week.
Our patients range from competitive show horses, to trail/pleasure
horses, to breeding animals.
Our practice vehicle is fully equipped to meet the varying needs of our
clientele, including but not limited to portable radiograph (X-ray)
machines and diagnostic ultrasound machines. We also provide diagnostic
lameness evaluations, pre-purchase exams, internal medicine consultation,
dentistry, reproductive services, neonatal services, as well as wellness
care and preventative medicine. We take advantage of lap top computers
and digital cameras within our practice vehicle to optimize each patient visit.
Future Plans: We are currently looking for a location to purchase land
or an existing equine facility in Clay County, Missouri, where we intend
to establish an equine medical/surgical facility that will allow us to
dramatically expand our current services. In addition to our current
ambulatory practice, we look forward to being able to provide full medical,
surgical, and reproductive care for both outpatient and inpatient
horses. |
